RoundSquare and Spirit Week

It's not only Spirit Week at King's Academy but the school is also hosting the regional RoundSquare conference, an international organization of schools dedicated to bringing students together across the world.  The group also participates in a lot of environmental, democratic and service initiatives around the world.  So, we're hosting students from Turkey, India, Kenya and Jordan.  There's a slew of new people and fun activities to fit around our already energetic students and the final week of classes before winter break.  Today was "twin day" (students dressed as twins or as a matching set of some type) and it was certainly fun to see the students out of uniform and in so many creative costumes from Alice in Wonderland's Alice and the Cheshire Cat to candy canes to ninjas (our entire residence life team) to Super Nerds to Black and Yellow from the Wiz Khalifa song.  Katie and I dressed up as the "Arab Spring" wearing colorful flowered outfits and each wearing one of the traditional Jordanian/Palestinian keffiyeh scarves.

(Also, the King came to school again but I can't write about that, which is frustrating because it was the most interesting part of my week.)
